Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Meet/ greet at Entebbe airport transfer to Kampala to speke hotel. Bed and breakfast.

Day 2
Kampala City Tour

Kampala city tour in the morning this include Uganda museum, churches, mosques and Buganda kingdom palace, former kingdom-Dinner and Over night at Igongo country hotel.

Day 3
Trip to Kabale, Switzerland of Africa

Break fast at the Centre do museum tour to explore the ankole kingdom culture then transfer to
Kabale the Switzerland of Africa. bakiga people are practicing terraced farming on these hilly hills.

Afternoon take Lake Bunyonyi tour at leisure covering several
islands, Evening return to your Lake Bunyonyi overland beach Resort for your over night

Day 4
Lake Bunyonyi Drive

After breakfast, Bunyonyi resort drive viewing beautiful scenery up to Kanaba gap to look at the Volcanoes mountain shared by Rwanda , Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo and beautiful scenery of Kisoro mountain ranges, do some birding on endemic birds in the Ikyuya forest and afternoon transfer to kisoro Travellers rest for over nite.

Day 5
Mountain Climbing at Mgahinga National Park

This morning do some mountain hiking into the mghinga national park heading towards the volcanoes,birding and if lucky you will see golden monkeys in this park plus other game.

Return to your hotel for lunch . Afternoon drive to Ruhijja Gorilla point in bwindi impenatrable forest. Some birding for endemic birds in Ruhiija area in the evening. check in at Trekkers Tarvern cottages for overnight.

Day 6
Gorilla Tracking

After early breakfast, transfer to the gorilla briefing point, go gorilla tracking those not fit for gorrilla trek are taken on a guided walk with a driver guide and ranger guidein the Ruhiija Bwindi road in the park A gorilla tracking as you look at several other primatesand tree species in this jungle of bwindi will be taking u about – 3—6 hours.

On seeing the gorillas you will stay with them for one hour as you take photos etc for your life story ever. taking your packed lunch and return to base for over nite at trekkers tarven.

Day 7
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

You are driven the bwindi jungles on a murram dusty road to Butogota via bwindi forest and villages where tea growing is main business here,beautiful scenery, chech in at Savana resort hotel for lunch , near Queen Elizabeth park ishasha sector. Evening game drive in Ishasha looking for the famous tree climbing lions here plus other game. Spend the Night at Savanah hotel.

Day 8
Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast then check out of savanah hotel go for morning game drives in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizaberth park most of your day and check in at katunguru bush camp for overnight looking at the kazinga channel.

Day 9
Imaramagambo Forest

After early breakfast game driver and go to karinju forest for the chimpanzee tour in this other imaramagambo forest, after chimp tour , drive to bushcamp for lunch then drive to mweya safari lodge on an evening game drive through royal circuit, leopard loop to queens mile to mweya, check in at mweya safari lodge for over night.

Day 10
Kazinga Channel Cruise

Early breakfast game drive to crater lakes looking at game and beautiful scenary in the morning, return to mweya safari lodge for lunch, looking at the kazinga channel. Afternoon boat ride on the popular Kazinga channel.for two hour game,birding and beautiful viewing look at lke george and lake edward connected by this natural channel 25 km lengthy.Over nite at mweya on camp fire.

Day 11
Queen Elizabeth

After breakfast drive through Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth park on game driving , then to Kasese look at Rwenzori mountain ranges, and some farming to Fortportal look the King Oyo palace then drive to Kibale forest checking in at CVK crater valleyKibale.

Day 12
Kibaale Game Park

After breakfast you will take a drive through kibale primate game park to joint a walk Bigodi swamp where wetlands also offer something diffferent in bigodi swamp.ie sitatunga wild animals are only found in wetlands.Evening drive back to for a night.cvk for over nite.

Day 13
Kyenjojo to Hoima

After breakfast drive via Tooro tea estates to Kyenjojo to Hoima town, check in at trisky hotel or royal cottages.

After lunch tour the bunyoro kitara kingdom ie king kabalegas tombs and visit the palace for some cultural briefings

Day 14
Murchison Falls National Park

Early breakfast, drive through the bunyoro oil fields at a short distance into the great western arm of rift valley look at lake albert fishing village. then proceed to kabalega safari lodge for early lunch afternoon drive to paara for a boat ride to Murchison falls on the Nile for three hours .Birding,crocodiles,hippos, elephants etc not to be missed, evening ranger guide guides u into a hiking / walk to the top of the falls where you link up with your driver guide to take you on a game drive as you return back to your hotel called kabalega.

Day 15
Nyamusika Plateau

Early breakfast ,take morning game drive to the delta and nyamusika plateau for lions, heart best, giraffee and many more game, afternoon drive to Fort Murchison lodge for overnight.

Day 16
Karuma, Nakasongola to Ziwa Rhino Ranch

Early breakfast, drive along the murchision park to karuma bridge then into nakasongora to ziwa ranch for rhino tour here. Lunch at rhino camp.

Day 17
White Rafting at Jinja

Drive for for white water Rafting at US $ 150extra each if u wish or stay at haven cottages looking at beautiful nile watering the whole banks it created, do swimming ,after lunch visit bulagara falls nearby, Be at ease at haven for your dinner

Day 18
Jinja, Source of the Nile

After breakfast- tour source of river nile, jinja colonial town and Transfer to Kampala via mabira forest. Afternoon Kampala.

Craft shops at national threatre or buganda road shops. Shopping at leisure as you prepare to return home. have your evening drinks at rock gardens at the speke or somewhere with Indian or Chinese restaurant in city centre or do go dancing at the governor of club obligato.
Dinner and over nite at speke hotel.

Day 19
Departure

After breakfast airport transfer depending on your flight time.

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
