lake victoriaIt is the world's largest tropical lake and second largest fresh water lake in the world. Lake Victoria is home to tones of aquatic life including Nile Perch and Tilapia. There are over 80 islands on Lake Victoria that are mostly inhabited by some of the rare birds including kingfishers, gray parrots, and fish eagles. These many islands on this lake, especially the Ssese group are well known all over the world for their beautiful landscape, health resorts and sightseeing places.

The main coastal towns on Lake Victoria include Entebbe (home to Uganda's main airport), the industrial town of Jinja, Mwanza and Bukoba in Tanzania, and Kisumu in Kenya. Kampala, the Capital city of Uganda is only a few Kilometers away. Do not forget that the famous River Nile originates from this lake. The scenery at this point is captivating, you will love the indentation of the shores.
