queen elizabethLocated in the Western Part of Uganda, QENP was named after the famous Queen Elizabeth of England. It is the second largest national park in Uganda and spans about 1978 sq km. It is an exceptional game park that features some of the unique African animals like the tree climbing lions and brilliantly colored birds. Crater lakes within QENP are filled with flocks of pelicans, storks and herons. There is an important bird sanctuary, the Ramsar Wetland which is home to over 1000 bird species.

QENP includes Lake Edward and Lake Albert which are connected by the Kazinga channel. You will marvel at the aquatic life in these lakes and the neighboring smaller water bodies.
